We specialize in cabinet refacing, cabinet refinishing, stain refresh, and restore-to-original-wood services throughout Dr. Phillips and Central Florida — giving you a stunning kitchen upgrade at a fraction of the cost of full replacement.
One of our most memorable projects in the greater Orlando area started with a familiar situation — a husband and wife who couldn’t agree on what to do with their kitchen. The husband wanted to preserve the rich dark cherry wood he loved and simply restore it to its original condition. The wife was drawn to the warm antique white and hand-glazed finish on their island, which had been applied over a decade earlier, and wanted that look brought to the rest of the kitchen. Both were right. Neither wanted to give ground.
Our solution was to honor both visions at once. We brought the antique white and glazing to the hood range area and all of the upper and lower cabinets, while keeping the large island and the refrigerator surround in the original dark cherry. For those pieces, we performed our Basic Renewal service — touching up damage, color balancing sections of the wood that had faded unevenly over the years, and applying a fresh coat of finish to restore durability and depth. The result was a true two-tone kitchen that gave each homeowner exactly what they wanted.
The most remarkable part of this project was the color matching. The island’s antique white glaze had been applied by a craftsman more than ten years earlier, with no formula on record and no color name to reference. Our owner Erin, drawing on her Fine Arts background, mixed our product by eye and replicated the exact glazing technique freehand — matching the original finish so precisely that the new and old surfaces are indistinguishable. It is the kind of work that only someone with genuine artistic training can execute, and it is exactly the standard we bring to every project we take on.
Cabinet Refacing vs. Full Replacement: The Smart Choice for Dr. Phillips Homeowners
Full cabinet replacement in a Dr. Phillips home is a significant disruption and an even more significant expense — often running $20,000 to $50,000 or more when materials, demolition, and installation are factored in. Cabinet refacing and refinishing from Resurrect Wood Refinishing achieves the same dramatic visual transformation for roughly one-third of that cost, without tearing your kitchen apart. We work with the solid, well-built cabinet structure you already own and resurface it to look and feel completely new — with a finish quality that mass-produced replacement cabinetry rarely matches.
Our Cabinet Refacing & Refinishing Services in Dr. Phillips
Cabinet Refacing & Resurfacing Our cabinet refacing process transforms the visible surfaces of your cabinets — doors, drawer fronts, and exposed frames — with new finishes and materials that deliver a complete style overhaul. The result is a kitchen that looks brand new without the cost or disruption of a full replacement.
Cabinet Refinishing A full professional refinish strips your existing cabinets down, repairs any surface imperfections, and applies a durable new finish using professional-grade products. Whether you want a rich wood stain or a bold solid color, our refinishing process delivers a smooth, lasting result that far exceeds what standard painting can achieve.
Solid Color Cabinet Painting Many Dr. Phillips homeowners are drawn to the clean, sophisticated look of solid color cabinetry. From timeless whites and soft greys to dramatic navy, sage green, or matte black, our solid color refinishing uses professional application techniques that eliminate brush marks, drips, and uneven coverage. The result is a factory-smooth finish in any color you choose.
Stain Refresh Natural wood tones are one of today’s most sought-after kitchen aesthetics. A professional stain refresh updates your existing wood cabinets with a modern tone — from light natural oak to deep warm walnut — without the expense of replacement. If your current stain is faded, uneven, or simply out of style, we can transform it completely.
Refinish to Original Wood Many Dr. Phillips homes contain high-quality solid wood cabinetry that has been painted or stained over the years. Our restore-to-original-wood service removes those layers to reveal the natural grain beneath, then pairs it with a fresh, modern stain for a result that is both timeless and current.
New Cabinet Doors If your cabinet boxes are structurally sound but your doors are worn or outdated, new cabinet doors are a targeted, cost-effective solution. We match new doors to your refinished boxes for a seamless, cohesive transformation.
